“When Looking Westward”

Five artists have come together to display their work in The Orangery for Somerset Art Week Festival. Mixed media paintings and prints by artists who have been inspired by, the poetry of Coleridge, or the surrounding landscape of The Coleridge Way. Leo Davey from Kilve is constantly inspired by his surroundings, as is Annabel Anderson from Bicknoller, Barry Watkin from Crowcombe and Clare DuVergier who says “The Coleridge Way is very near to me, and I like to think that many poets including Coleridge may have walked down the bridleway past my cottage”. Sarah Ward from Watchet is inspired by Coleridge’s poetry

Through Coleridge’s Eyes – Landscapes in Words and Music. To celebrate the life and works of Samuel Taylor Coleridge Stable Arts is collaborating with The Friends of Coleridge Society to organise an evening of poetry and music on Friday 4th October 7.00 – 9.15 pm in All Saints church at Nynehead with refreshments in The Orangery.
